Completed it, mate.

Natte Bealiba’s Ella Tranter ends the 2022 A-Grade campaign with one of the best individual seasons in recent memory; finishing as a premiership player and best-on-court in the Grand Final, five days after she was named the league’s second-best player.

All in just her first year at the club.

“We’ve worked so hard all year and trained really hard every week,” she said.

“We really get around each other at this club, all the teams support each other through and through. The support we give each other is amazing it’s a sea of red and white out there.”

Moving from the Maryborough Magpies, Tranter wasted little time asserting herself as a key cog in a Natte Bealiba side intent on a deep run in 2022.

The big stage did little to faze the mid-courter, whose ability to switch from defence-to-attack played a significant role in the Swans’ 15 goal win over Lexton on Saturday.

With an 11-year premiership drought hanging over the team, it was Natte’s stars who rose highest with Tranter, defender Naomi Medlyn and goalshooter Mel Oliver among the Swans’ best players on the day.

“It feels absolutely amazing to win this premiership, all the girls played so well and [the best-on-court] could’ve gone to any one of us. It was a bloody ripper,” Tranter said.

“We made sure we stayed on top in the mid-court and if you do that you’re going to get the goals and the defensive pressure was really good. Naomi [Medlyn] and Sharelle [Martin] worked so hard getting those intercepts and rebounds.

“Everyone is absolutely incredible at Natte. I’ll be back next year, hopefully.”
